Julie Timm
Julie Timm is the CEO of Sound Transit, the regional agency that provides light rail, commuter rail and bus service to connect more than 50 cities and the nearly 50% of Washington State residents who live in the Puget Sound area.
Julie previously served as CEO of Greater Richmond Transit Company in Richmond, Virginia; Chief Development Officer for WeGo Public Transit in Nashville, Tennessee; and Transit Development Officer and Title VI and Environmental Justice Compliance Officer for Hampton Roads Transit in Norfolk, Virginia. Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at firms engaged in planning, designing and constructing major transit, highway and other types of projects, and she also worked as a contract employee managing projects and programs for the United States Air Force Air Combat Command Headquarters in Virginia.
Julie earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology from Old Dominion University.
