Sam Zimbabwe is the Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation. Sam joined SDOT in January 2019 after more than 7 years at the District Department of Transportation, in Washington, DC. Throughout his 20-year career spanning the public, private, and non-profit sectors, Sam has been dedicated to building city transportation systems that work for people.
