Vidhu Shekhar
Vidhu “V” Shekhar is a nationally recognized and award–winning leader in government strategy, digital transformation, and AI innovation. Currently serving as Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer at California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). He was formerly Microsoft’s America’s Lead – Global Partnerships Team, Custom Consulting within Industry Solutions Delivery and prior to that the Government Strategy Lead for U.S. State & Local Government. Vidhu brings excellent insight into emerging technologies, infrastructure, and policy in both public and private sectors.
Vidhu’s experience spans consulting, public service, and enterprise leadership, including roles with Microsoft, Workday, and KPMG. As the author of Generative Artificial Intelligence Use Cases in State & Local Government and an active advisor to institutions like USC, UW and the National Academy of Sciences, he is a trusted voice on the responsible adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
